David Chu, O.D.

In practice since 2005, Dr. Chu received his Doctorate of Optometry from Southern California College of Optometry. Prior to that, he received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of California, San Diego.

His clinical background includes the VA Hospital Los Angeles where he focused on ocular disease such as glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy. At the Center for the Partially Sighted in Santa Monica, Dr. Chu treated patients with partial vision loss for which he received the Eschenbach Scholarship. He also worked alongside the best in optometry at the Optometric Center of Los Angeles and the Eye Care Center in Fullerton. Areas of focus include primary eye care, ocular disease, and contact lenses; especially scleral contacts for conditions such as keratoconus, corneal dystrophy, and post-surgical contact lens fits. Dr. Chu is a member of the American Optometric Association, and the California Optometric Association.

Aside from eye care, Dr. Chu enjoys family time, friends, sports, and going to the beach!
