
David Chu, O.D.
In practice since 2005, Dr. Chu received his Doctorate of Optometry from the
Southern California College of Optometry.
Prior to that, he received his B.S. in Biology from the
University
of
California,
San Diego.
His clinical background includes the VA Hospital Los Angeles where he
focused on ocular disease such as glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy.
At the Center for the Partially Sighted in
Santa Monica,
Dr. Chu treated patients with partial vision loss for which he received the
Eschenbach Scholarship. He also
worked alongside the best in optometry at the Optometric Center of Los
Angeles and the
Eye
Care
Center
in
Fullerton.
His specialties include primary eye care, ocular disease, and specialty fit
contact lenses. Dr. Chu is a member
of the American Optometric Association, the California Optometric
Association, and Infinity Vision Alliance.
Aside from eye care, Dr. Chu enjoys sports and family life. He especially
looks forward to spending time with his wife and son. They are expecting
their second baby this year and Dr. Chu is eagerly awaiting the new addition to the
family!

Hawaa Ali, O.D.
Dr. Ali received her Doctorate of Optometry from the Southern
California College of Optometry and her B.S. in Biological
Sciences from the
University
of
California,
Irvine.
Prior to joining Aliso Optometry, Dr. Ali worked at the National
Naval Medical Center in Maryland, the VA Hospital in Los
Angeles, and HuHuKam Memorial Hospital in Arizona.
In addition to primary eye care, these clinical
experiences provided her with extensive patient care in ocular
disease, diabetic retinopathy, and glaucoma management.
She also treated patients at the
Eye
Care
Center
in
Fullerton
and received the PEN Scholarship for her clinical skills in the
area of ocular disease. Her
specialties include pediatric eye care, contact lenses, dry eye
management, and geriatrics.
She is a member of the American Optometric Association,
the California Optometric Association, and the Orange County
Optometric Society.
Dr. Ali is a long-time friend and colleague of Dr. Chu and is
honored to have joined Aliso Optometry in 2009.
